Ingredients
- 3 pounds large fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Cajun Land Seasoned Fish Fry
- Cooking oil
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup of milk
- 4 – 8 inch loaves of French bread, sliced lengthwise
- 1 cup of shredded lettuce
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- Sliced dill pickles
- Mayonnaise
Directions
- Heat cooking oil to 375°F
- In a bowl, combine the beaten eggs and milk
- Place 12 ounces of Cajun Land Seasoned Fish Fry in another bowl
- Divide fresh shrimp into 4 separate batches
- Take the 1st batch and dip fully into the egg & milk mixture, then place in bowl with Cajun Land Seasoned Fish Fry and coat each shrimp thoroughly on all sides
- Carefully place shrimp in the oil and fry shrimp until golden brown, or about 4 minutes
COOKING TIP: When the shrimp float to the top, they are ready!
- Place cooked shrimp on paper towel and repeat batches 2 thru 4
COOKING TIP: For optimal frying results, allow cooking oil to “recover” back to 375°F between each batch
- Put mayonnaise on both top and bottom of French bread. Place fried shrimp on the bottom half and add tomatoes, pickles, and lettuce
