- Remove steaks from refrigeration one hour before cooking
- Liberally coat both sides of each ribeye steak with Cajun Land Blackened Seasoning
- Place iron skillet over high heat. Add oil and continue to heat until oil begins to smoke
- Carefully place steaks in skillet and allow to sear for 4 minutes
- Turn steak over and cook for an additional 3 minutes
- Remove steaks from skillet and place butter on top of each one
- Allow steak to “rest” for 5 minutes then ENJOY!
- NOTES
- 1) The times listed here are for medium rare. Decrease or increase cooking times in 1 minute intervals for desired “doneness”
- 2) Blackening produces smoke. Cooking on an outside grill is recommended. If you must cook indoors, open windows and turn vents on
