“East Coast” Cole Slaw

  • 1 head of green cabbage (approximately 2 pounds)
  • 2 large carrots, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 red bell pepper (seeds removed & cut into strips)
  • 1 yellow bell pepper (seeds removed & cut into strips)
  • 4 green onions, chopped finely
  • 2 tablespoons of Cajun Land Old Bayou Seasoning
  • 1 cup of mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons of honey


  • Cut cabbage into quarters. Cut out and discard the core from each. Slice cabbage finely by hand or with a food processor
  • Shred carrots by hand using a grater or with a food processor
  • Combine shredded cabbage and carrots into a bowl
  • Add vinegar and mix well
  • Stir in bell pepper strips and green onions
  • Add mayonnaise, honey, and Cajun Land Old Bayou Seasoning, mix thoroughly
  • Cover and place in refrigerator for 2 hours. Serve cold and ENJOY!
  • LAGNIAPPE: Dress up your coleslaw with a few sprigs of fresh parsley!
